Tips For Your Profile

As an organization, there are lots of small (and big) changes that you can make to reduce your environmental impact, become more sustainable, or contribute to the local community. Even small steps count! Consider these ideas:

Environment: Sell or buy organic, switch to biodegradable packaging, use more paperless systems, add a solar panel to your roof, ride your bike or walk to work, join a CSA.

Community: Donate goods or services to a charitable organization, fund a charitable or community event, sponsor a community garden, volunteer at a local school.

People: Choose fair-trade, pay a living wage to employees, lobby for fair treatment of workers, engage in cooperative business practices, provide affordable health insurance, provide educational or enrichment opportunities for employees, support equal opportunity employment.

Animals/Wildlife: Provide vegan or vegetarian dining options, sell cruelty free products, support wildlife organizations, protect wildlife habitat, choose materials for your products that are safer for animals and wildlife.
