Pollinator DreamsPack Art show: November 14th

The Hudson Valley Seed Library and Roos Arts are thrilled to present “Pollinator Dreams”: The second annual show featuring the original artwork chosen for each seed package and Ayumi Horie’s special edition plates made to compliment the exhibition. Join us at Roos Arts in Rosendale NY to celebrate the launch of the 2010 Art Packs, meet the artists and founders of the Hudson Valley Seed Library. Please RSVP for the pre-opening party where local chefs, including Culinary Institute of America’s sustainable agricultural group students, will entice us with a taste of the heirloom appetizers created using local and seasonal ingredients. The opening reception for the general public will follow the preview.

The preview takes place at 6pm, and is $10.00 per person (with RSVP!) The opening reception is from 7-9 pm.

The Hudson Valley Seed Library is a homestead-based farm and business in upstate New York founded by Ken Greene and Doug Muller. Using hand tools and low-tech processes they grow a range of heirloom and open-pollinated vegetables, herbs, and flowers from which they save seed. Their goal is to provide seeds to urban, suburban, and rural home gardeners. By 2014, they aim to offer 100% locally grown seed.
