The Keon Center is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing those with developmental disabilities the ability to receive a variety of life skills, education and employment training. We currently have an opening for an experienced, full-time Workshop Director at our Peekskill location, in Northern Westchester County.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Workshop Director is responsible for the following:
• Maintain compliance with federal DOL/FLSA certification requirements
• Provide marketing and contract components of the workshop, including NYSID sales
• Oversee production fulfillment areas
• Supervise of program support staff
• Conduct time & motion studies
• Ensure the efficient flow of products from the point of vendor receipt to the shipment of products to external clients
• Monitor inventory and shipping needs
• Integrate production goals with other programming goals of our consumers
• Oversee and process consumer payroll
• Maintain communication with external contractors, including pricing contracts, bids, quality assurance and timely production scheduling
• Uphold a safe and clean production environment
• Serve as a member of the Agency's Safety Committee
• Role model The Keon Center's high ethical standards and code of conduct
Position Requirements:
• High School Diploma with 3-5 years of experience in Workshop Operations or a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience in Production Management
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Access
• Ability to pass pre-hire criminal background and driver's license screenings
